Basis Eufy Security app

When you open the Eufy app, you can switch between 3 different options at the bottom of the screen.
Devices / Events / Security

Devices

Here you can choose which camera you want to watch live. When you press the 3 white dots on a camera, you will go to the settings of this camera.

Events

Here you see the list of all recordings, at the top you can choose the desired date and filter with the buttons at the top right of the screen.

Security

Here you can choose which mode you want to activate, these modes for example Absent can be configured as you wish. Click on the cogwheel next to Absent to set whether to record and receive a push notification. Click on a mode to activate it.

Charging Eufy Security camera

The Eufy security app indicates when a camera has a low battery percentage.
The cameras are easy to charge with a USB cable.

1. Take the camera and turn it to the left until it is detached from the mounting bracket

2. On the back of the camera there is a USB connection to charge the camera

3. When the camera is on the charger, a blue light comes on. When it is off then camera is full and can be placed back. Tighten clockwise

Do you have a Solarcam with a flat battery?
In the winter months, the sun may not be enough to keep the camera full. Then you can always top up with a USB C cable, see instructions above.

Low range Eufy camera icm homebase

Does a camera connected to a homebase have low range?

1. Then go to “Devices” at the bottom of the screen.
2. Go all the way down until you see “Homebase”.
3. Press on the Home Base.
4. Choose “General”.
5. Select “Work mode”
6. Select “Performance (beta)” as the working mode.

Is the operating mode set to “Performance (beta)” and is the range still poor?

Then the Homebase must be linked to the wifi so that it can be placed anywhere in the house, so you can play with the position to get a good range everywhere.

1. At the bottom of the screen, go to “Devices”.
2. Go all the way down until you see “Homebase”.
3. Press on the Home Base.
4. Choose “General”.
5. Choose “Connection”
6. Configure the WiFi connection via the instructions in the app.
When this is completed you can place the Homebase anywhere in the house.

If the range is not good with the above solutions, an additional home base is needed.

Eufy Camera icm Homebase offline

There can be various reasons why a camera is offline.

1. Check that the rechargeable battery is not flat.
2. If it is not empty you can restart the Home Base, this works as follows.
– Go to “Devices” at the bottom of the screen.
– Go all the way down until you see the “Homebase”.
– Press on the Homebase.
– At the bottom of the screen, choose “Reboot Device”.
3. If the rechargeable battery is not empty and restarting the Hub does not work.
Then the problem is in the range / connection.
In that case, follow the steps of “Solving Eufy camera’s low range”.

Low range Eufy separate wifi camera

If a separate Eufy WiFi camera has a low range, there is only one cause.
The WiFi signal from the router is too weak.

There are 2 solutions to this problem.

1. Mount the camera close to the router.
2. Creating a better wifi network by means of a Mesh System.
